Rosalynd Kamaryc Queen’s Gate School
Dragons have been very well received – the staff are knowledgeable, approachable and have very good classroom presence. They make the lessons fun, whilst ensuring that the girls learn. The enthusiasm of the girls is outstanding – they really enjoy the lessons and also the interactive resources outside class.
Bianca Skinner Parent
Our teacher is amazing. I have never seen my daughter warm to anyone so quickly. She clearly understands small children and I love that she is using the first few classes to warm up to my daughter and introduce the language slowly. A great idea and approach.
Carol Lee Hunt Parent
We can’t recommend Dragon Teaching more highly! My daughter began Mandarin lessons with Dragons at her school and she has since continued with private Mandarin lessons at home which she thoroughly enjoys. Her tutor has been incredibly encouraging and inspiring to my daughter which is great to see and the company itself has been professional and supportive.
Answers to common questions
Frequently asked questions
How do you recruit your teachers?
All Dragons’ teachers go through a rigorous vetting and selection process that follows the Department for Education’s Safer Recruitment guidelines. Our teachers are predominately based in the UK and Taiwan and we maintain our own single central register of all their relevant and vetted personal information.
How old does my child have to be to study a language with Dragons Teaching?
Our courses are perfectly suited for students starting in Key Stage 2 (age 7-11) and go right through to GCSE level in all of our languages. For Mandarin Chinese we are also able to offer a starter course that is suitable for Key Stage 1 students (age 5-7).
My child has some prior language learning experience; how do you assess their level and find the right starting point for them?
We will provide a free demo and level assessment session with one of our experienced teachers to help finding the correct starting point for your child.
Can my child learn together with their sibling(s) or friend(s)?
Yes! Providing that the children are of a similar level and age, learning together in a small group is a great way to learn and is even more cost effective than learning individually.
