My Day in France

An exciting French enrichment programme for pupils in Key Stage 2

During the week commencing Monday 29th November, Dragons Teaching will be running a mini French enrichment programme for UK pupils in Key Stage 2 (Years 3 to 6).

The 2-hour programme can be run on any school day and at any time, morning or afternoon. The schedule below will easily accommodate your school’s timetable:

  • Session 1: Pupils will spend 30 minutes learning online from one of our expert, friendly French teachers before spending 15 minutes completing a series of interactive, reward-based activities on the FrenchConnect platform.
  • Creative activity: During the 15 minutes between sessions, we will be encouraging pupils to get creative with an arts & craft activity (TBC).
  • Session 2: The second session will follow the same format as the first, with the same teacher leading the pupils through the next lesson on FrenchConnect and pupils completing the associated interactive activities.

For a total cost of £200+VAT per class (maximum 32 pupils per class), Dragons Teaching will provide two fantastic French teachers, access to the first two lessons of FrenchConnect and an end-of-course certificate for each pupil.

Blended Learning

Students spend 30 minutes learning introductory French from one of our friendly, expert teachers online before completing fun, interactive exercises on FrenchConnect. In our 15 years of experience we have seen how this style of learning increases pupil engagement.

Professional Teaching

Our teachers are fully trained and meet all safeguarding requirements, while our enrichment programme is aligned with genuine academic curricula. We can provide the whole learning package, taking the stress off schools.

Measurable Progress

Pupils collect ‘berets’ (rewards) as they navigate the course, reflecting their level of engagement and success. This provides real tracking data for your school to measure their progress.

We thoroughly enjoyed working with Dragons and the team. We felt very well supported in the organisation of this event and we appreciated the swift and timely response to our many enquiries. We received some very positive feedback from parents of students who participated and it is great to see that so many of them chose to complete some extra online sessions. Students enjoyed being given the opportunity to interact with native speakers. They also loved the games on the Connect platform.

Dragons have been very well received – the staff are knowledgeable, approachable and have very good classroom presence. They make the lessons fun, whilst ensuring that the girls learn. The enthusiasm of the girls is outstanding – they really enjoy the lessons and also the interactive resources outside class.

The online teaching went very smoothly. Dragons Teaching sent over all of the details regarding the setup. The staff were friendly, organised and knew exactly what they were doing.
