Arabic: Coming soon to Dragons Teaching!

Arabic is the fifth most-spoken language in the world. 25 countries claim Arabic as an official language and it was recently identified as one of the ten most important languages for the UK’s future by the British Council.

The sophisticated language contains 28 letters and is written from right to left. Despite these inherent differences to English, it’s an extremely rewarding language to learn. At Dragons Teaching we will be teaching Modern Standard Arabic (MSA), which is the standard written form of the language and the most widely used version of Arabic today in Arabic-speaking countries.

At Dragons Teaching, we can help individuals, groups and whole school classes learn how to read, write, listen and speak Arabic, opening doors to a myriad of career and extra-curricular opportunities in an ever-evolving global community.

Our Arabic curriculum is currently in development. We are expecting to bring ArabicConnect into the family from early 2022.

I have had the benefit of seeing Dragons work in two very different schools. In both Dragons had a positive, transformational impact – not just on the pupils studying the language but on the culture of the school. Dragons provided excitement, innovation and aspiration to the curriculum and the young people.

David Sheppard Executive Headteacher, Leathersellers’ Federation of Schools

Connect has been a revelation. We were initially a little uncertain about remote teaching, but recent events have only made the world start to catch on to what they were already offering. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Lex Lang Deputy Head, Caterham Prep School

Our teacher is amazing. I have never seen my daughter warm to anyone so quickly. She clearly understands small children and I love that she is using the first few classes to warm up to my daughter and introduce the language slowly. A great idea and approach.
